Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood, Ontario, at the age of 87. Loving father of daughter Debra Simpson (Williams), son Douglas Vaughan and stepson Roy Vaughan (Linda). Cherished Grandpa of 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Lawrence is predeceased by his parents James Fredrick Brown and Marion Viola Vaughan. He was the loving younger brother to Marilyn (Maxted) Vaughan and stepbrother to Sylvina Brown (Thompson).

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Nicholls Funeral Home – 330 Midland Ave, Midland, Ontario from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11 a.m. Lawrence will be laid to rest with his mother on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Brampton Memorial Gardens - 10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, Ontario at 12 p.m.

Memorial donations can be made to Georgian Triangle Hospice (Campbell House) at 240 Erie Street, Collingwood, Ontario, if desired.
