On the afternoon of Sunday, May 3rd , 2026, the Lorne Scots Regimental Museum received the Canada General Service Medal with Fenian Raid 1866 clasp of Private John Stewart of the Brampton Infantry Company. The medal and clasp were donated by Mrs. Echo McCarley of Lethbridge, Alberta, the grand niece of Private Stewart. Mr. Glenn Miller, a Director of the Organisation of Military Museums of Canada, officially delivered the medal to the Museum on behalf of Mrs. McCarley.
