From 28–30 November 2025, soldiers from The Lorne Scots joined the Queen’s Own Rifles at CFB Petawawa for Exercise Maroon Sword 2025, a demanding weekend focused on live-fire platoon attacks, including both frontal and flanking manoeuvres.
This training concluded part of the annual IBTS (individual battle task standards) qualification, ensuring soldiers remain confident, capable, and operationally ready. A sincere thank-you to the Queen’s Own Rifles for inviting the Lorne Scots, where both units pushed their skills to strengthen teamwork, and reinforce readiness.
