About the event
On May 8, 2025, we commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day), signifying the ultimate Allied victory over Germany and the Nazi regime. This occasion is likely the final major VE Day anniversary where our veterans will still be with us. To honour this historic event, the museum will inaugurate a new exhibition titled “Faces of Victory”, featuring artifacts that have never before been publicly displayed. Additionally, the museum will present and incorporate into its permanent collection a framed front-page article from May 8, 1945, offering a lasting tribute to the generation that endured the Second World War.

This FREE event is open to the public and will be followed by the Lorne Scots Regimental Association's 2nd Annual Heritage Celebration, 8-9 PM in the Officers' Mess, Brampton Armoury.
