On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 1900–2100 hrs, a closed round table discussion will be held at the Regimental Museum of the Lorne Scots (55 Queen Street East, Brampton, Ontario).
Hosted by Henry Verschuren, CD and Paul Hale, MSM, CD this session is open exclusively to all Veterans and current serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The goal is to gather input on how the Province of Ontario can better support Veterans and serving members, building on recent progress and shaping future initiatives.
Topics will include:
Employment laws in Ontario for Reservists
New benefits available for Veterans and serving members
Other pressing issues affecting our community
Feedback collected will contribute to a paper being submitted to the responsible Provincial Ministers for consideration in upcoming legislation this fall.

Closed Session: No politicians, Legion representatives, or CAF Command.
Casual Dress: No rank distinctions—everyone is equal at the table.
