Cadet Corps

Cadets is a national program for youth ages 12 to 18 who want to make new friends while participating in fun and challenging activities.

The Cadet Program:

  • promotes teamwork, leadership and citizenship
  • helps develop decision making skills
  • increases self-confidence and physical fitness

There are no registration fees or dues to join the Cadet Program. Upon joining, uniforms and accoutrements are provided free of charge. Cadets and parents are encouraged to participate in and contribute to fundraising on behalf of the Local Sponsoring Committee and League, to offset costs not covered by the Department of National Defence. While cadets will learn about the Canadian Forces, they are not members of the military, nor are they expected to join.
