Albert Goodman passed away peacefully in his 91st year, on Sunday, January 24, 2016. Al is survived by his loving children Ted (Pamela), Don (Wanda), Paul (Myrna), Peter (Cathy) and Janet (Martin) and predeceased by his loving wife Ada. Grandad will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Melissa, Erin, Keegan, Kyle, Lawrence and Liam. Al grew up in the Beaches and became a proud member of the Lorne Scots Regiment once moving to Brampton. A dedicated Educator, Al touched the lives of many staff and students over his years as a Teacher and Principal with the Peel District School Board. In his spare time, Al enjoyed golf, was an avid curler, a longtime member of the Brampton South Rotary Club (receiving the Paul Harris Fellow) and cheered on the Toronto Blue Jays.
The family is grateful for the kindness of their many friends and the compassionate care Al received from the staff at Amica Erin Mills. Friends are invited to remember Al’s life at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton, on Wednesday, January 27th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hospital for Sick Children in Al’s memory are appreciated.
